Jewellery Care

It is important to have your jewellery checked regularly for security of settings, safety catches and general wear and tear.

Minor repairs now may prevent later loss of precious stones and major expense. We recommend having your jewellery checked every six to twelve months. Settings on diamonds and gemstones require regular checking.

Pearls are organic beings … you should never spray perfume near your pearls nor store your pearls together as the rubbing will damage them.

Watch batteries should be changed every sixteen months to avoid battery leakage and your watch should be serviced every five years.

If your jewellery is insured, the majority of insurers require a registered valuation to be updated every two years.
